Limbic System

• is the center of our emotions, learning, and memory.
• Included in this system are the cingulate gyri, Hypothalamus, Amygdala (emotional reactions) and hippocampus (memory).

Limbic System

• A group of evolutionarily older brain structures that encircle the top of the brain stem. The limbic structures play complex roles in emotions, instincts, and appetitive behaviors.
